Foundations
Ages 5-7
In Foundation building, students take what they know and begin to make some concrete connections to the instrument. They begin to put labels on the vocabularies they have experienced and about which they have already collected information. They fill in gaps and discover what tools they need to have in their musical toolkits in order to be informed musicians.
Please note: Ages are given in general ranges, though a child may be in one or more stage at any age dependent on their level of experience. Further, each child is unique, and may not fit into one or all of these predetermined categories.
