Music Learning and Development is
a life-long journey.
There is much that we know (and much that we don't know) about how children gather, synthesize, and produce musical information. In my research and my teaching, I have sought to understand the processes that children implement and travel through in order to reach a fuller state of musicianship.
Out of my experiences with the children, I have organized my teaching around the following categories. To read more about each, click on the level.
Ages 6 and under

Ages 9 and above
Please note: Ages are given in general ranges, though a child may be in one or more stage at any age dependent on their level of experience. Further, each child is unique, and may not fit into one or all of these predetermined categories.
