Readers
Ages 7-9
Readers are in their initial moments of understanding how sounds are represented on the lines and spaces. They are learning how to associate the patterns on the lines and spaces with the patterns they aurally understand and physically maneuver. They are also beginning to identify all of the musical cues on a written page.
Please note: Ages are given in general ranges, though a child may be in one or more stage at any age dependent on their level of experience. Further, each child is unique, and may not fit into one or all of these predetermined categories.
